Indigestion: Try Out This Natural Home Remedies

Indigestion is always a tragic experience for many. A natural home remedy is appropriate for your safety. Organics are most effective as a treatment for several illnesses. They serve different purposes in the body. These natural ingredients are at your disposal, just don’t lay them to waste.  Indigestion could be a symptom of other troubling problems like ulcers, gastritis, acid reflux, etc. 

Ways to stop indigestion are as follows;

Water

The benefits of water are uncountable, it serves any purposes in man’s health. Many of us fail to take water as at when due. You should take water regularly. 30 minutes before a meal and after a meal. Have you not heard that water aids digestion? Prevention, they say, is better than cure. Try to drink water at regular intervals but if you have indigestion, sip on a cup of hot water slowly.  It settles the stomach and gears up digestion. 

Baking Soda 

Sodium is a highly effective ingredient to stopping indigestion. Use very little amount, half teaspoon is fine. Mix in water, not usually a full glass. Stir properly before drinking. Don’t repeat the process until after two hours, which could lead to constipation. Soda helps to reduce stomach acid thereby stimulating digestion. 

Apple cider vinegar 

A. C. V is a top-class agent to cure indigestion. Despite this, it is catastrophic for ulcer patients. Those affected can try out other organics to improve digestion. A. C. V is a famous agent for weight loss. Dilute in water before consumption. Failure to do so may result in a throat burn, nausea. Mix two teaspoons in water, you can add honey if desired to avoid the sour taste. Also, to prevent indigestion, you can take it 30 minutes before a meal. 

Licorice root

Chew licorice root or mix in hot water and drink. It works effectively but you have to be careful not to consume much. It aids digestion by relaxing muscle spasms responsible for indigestion. Take licorice root 30 minutes before a meal or one hour after a meal to prevent it. 

Lemon water

This was a yes-yes for me since childhood. I take lemon water anytime I suspect indigestion. It worked for me, it can also for you. Squeeze out the lemon juice into a cup, add warm water and drink. In no time, you are up and running. You can also substitute with lime and follow through the same process. As you know that excess use of a thing is bad news. Don’t use too much, slice into two parts and use half. If you have a lemon drink in your fridge, use it as well. You can also boil them and drink the boiled mixture. Does the deed! 

Herbs and spices 

Herbs and spices like cinnamon, ginger, basil leaves, cloves, fennel seeds et al are the just right perfect remedies for you. You can choose to chew on them or boil them in water to drink. 

Contrary to a popular theory that you should lie down on your stomach when you have indigestion, you should avoid lying down. It would only increase the pain. Be wary about using too much of the above, they all have their side effects. Eat a proper diet and know your allergies.
